I am rebuilding my 1965 Hilo. Bon Voyage and need a new sprocket for the lift. Can anyone help me or point me in the right direction? It is 48 teeth and about 5 3/4 inches in diameter.

67Bob, Have you tried Northern Tool or Grainger? I'm sure both have a .com and customer service depts that can help.

Yes, all of their sprockets with 48 teeth for the #25 chain are about 4 inches. This one is almost 6 and I don't know how much difference that will make.

67Bob, It'll make a big difference. The chain would have to be made shorter and things will move a bit faster with a smaller sprocket.
I'm lucky in FL that we have Metro Pkwy Industrial complex with several machine shops and that's also where I've had hydraulic cylinders rebuilt. Few people have seen Hi Los, so there is competition on who gets to work with a Hi Lo owner.
Have no idea what it would cost in your neck of the woods, but you may have to have a new one cut at a machine shop. I'd think they'd need the old one as a template of course. I don't think I'd trust a repair on an important item like that.

Yeah, that is what I am afraid of. I can crank it for now and I will keep looking. I most likely will have to make one.
