Default 1979 2500 serial number location

Does anyone know where the serial number is on a 1979 25 ft Hi Lo?

Usually a placard street side (Left or drivers side), sometime stamped somewhere on the "A" frame, (maybe painted over) and if original cabinets, inside one of those doors. Mines on the door under the sink. Hope this helps. Welcome to the forum!

Ed; Where are you located? Richmond Va or Richmond? What are you Towing your HiLo with. A lot that has to do with needing a sway bar is the size of the HiLo and the vehicle you are towing with.

Call these guys in Mt. Vernon, OH. They were the Hi-Lo warranty repair shop and probably know where every serial number was located over the years.

I think that I found it. Inside the hot water door outside access. Cannot open it unless the top is up

That doesn't look like a Hi-Lo VIN to me. That's probably for the water heater.

Thanks Rich, I'll give them a try. No luck finding it unless it is under the propane tank support or under the stabilizer bar mount.

Michigan BMV accepted the number in the photo. The owner died and the son was selling it. He could not find the title and they only keep records on inactive trailers for 10 years. The lady at the BMV did a search and said that the VIN was short back then and ran a check to see if it was stolen. Turned out to be a lot easier than I thought it'd be.
