Default 2000 Classic 240u HELP

Trying to get info about a hilo I just saw that is for sale.
it is a 240u on the side it said hilo. 2nd owner and has rippling on parts of the roof. He mention it was like that when he got it then he had roofer put on a rubber roof.

What I'm worry about is the weight it says on camper
GVWR 2720KG / 6000lbs
Gawr 1361KG / 3000lbs each axel there are 2.

I have a feeling that these above numbers could be wrong....

My TV is 01' Ford Explorer Sport Trac V6 4.0 4x4 and I believe it says
GVWR 5840LBS / 2648 Kg

I'm confused by these numbers Is my TV not good for this hilo?

hoping to hear soon as I don't want to lose out on this camper and learn I tv would be ok with this?

thanks for reading

Greenmtnman,

If you look at page 6 of the brochure for the 2000 Classic hi-los, you will see the specifications before things are added like the air conditioner and other options

http://www.hilotrailerforum.com/f52/...brochure-1660/

The trailer that you are looking at is a 24 ft year 2000 classic. Keep in mind, the Classics are generally heavier than the Tow-lites.

The GVWR is 6,000 and the unloaded weight is listed as 4,338.

In 2000, the 24 ft trailers didn't have the tip-out couch, so they will be lighter than the later years.

A 2001 Sport Trac with auto trans, 2 wheel drive has a max tow rating of 5,300lbs. the 4 wheel drive has a max of 5,080lbs. The tow rating for the standard trans is much lower, about 1/2 of the auto. A 2000 Classic HI- LO model loaded would put you at the max or even over your max tow rating.
