Default Generators

We just purchased a new 25C. Still have a 1982 19' that we've taken to Alaska among other places and used the AC perhaps 10 times ever (we like mountain and dirt roads to keep city folks away). All we've needed has been the radio and years ago a black and white TV. New unit has a microwave. Generally don't look for campgrounds with electricity but suspect the microwave may require this or a generator. Hi-lo recommends a KVD 2089, onan. Looks like a nice fit except for the $ 3,800 pricetag. Any advice from more experienced generator users?

I keep hearing about the "Onan", so I looked it up on the web, WOW, it looks really neat. I don't have any generator experience myself, but here are some past threads on HTF that you may want to read.
