Guide Rods

Don't forget to clean and grease those guide rods before heading out for summer fun. Your lift system depends on it.

Rich are you talking about the guides on each side (I believe we have two on each side) that run vertically? If you were to lube them, wouldn't they then collect road grit and become a problem? Surely there must be a proper lube to use that the dirt and gravel wouldn't stick to.....

He's talking about the guid rods for the hydraulic cylinder under the trailer. A silicone spray would work on the vertical side rails.

Yes, I was talking about the guide rod that parallels the hydraulic cylinder. Watch "good old" Larry Mills show you how to do it. The guides on the should also be lubed, besides silicon spray you can also rub some paraffin on them.

Thanks, guys....and I looked and there are six of them. They have already been sprayed and the one underneath was taken care of a couple weeks ago.
