Hi Everybody
Hi Everybody!
I am new to this forum. I just bought a 27 ft, hilo towlite. We are trying to get it ready for a long trip to Wisconsin in July. Going to take it on a dry run for a weekend here in Florida first. I did notice that the bottom of the door is crooked and the sealed between the top and bottom door have gaps. Any suggestions on how to resolve that? :o I see gaps in corners here and there as well. I would like to make sure we are moisture and bug free. :) I would appreciate any input. Thanks! Jackie |

I also have a 27ft Towlite. Absolutely love it.

I will get the trailer level. That may be the issue. I parked it on uneven ground but do not have the jacks down. I know that they are just to stabilize.
Thanks! |
Yes we are! My first time to the airshow. I can't wait. Nothing like combining two loves (airplanes and camping). :)

Airshow, welcome to the forum! where in Florida are you? We have a pretty busy schedule till July and at the end of July we're off again. If you're close by Bonita Springs/Naples area, maybe we can shake hands a check our units out. This weekend is the Tampa area, just off I4, but only for a day. Let me know, and welcome again.

How un-level is the trailer?. A little off should not matter much if you are noticing "gaps" all along between top and bottom. I agree with Mr Creyes that a cable adjustment may be in order. Yes- get level- then measure all four corners from the bottom of the top half to the bottom of the bottom half. It should be relatively close all around.
I have never camped at the air show but I have been by it plenty. That is a huge open expanse they camp on and I'm not sure aboiut hook-ups. So- make sure your battery systems etc are up to snuff. :) Rick |
