J & r

Just talked to Rob and was told they would be moving from their current location in Butler. The building has been sold (former HiLo factory building). This was part of the court proceedings after Greg Stanley died a few years back. Rob & Jim are finishing up the repairs on the units they now have and are looking for a new location. I wanted to get this info out to the forum to keep you guys informed. I am sure that once some people find this out that rumors will fly that they are closing up and going out of business. J & R is alive and well and will just be relocating. In the mean time, please be patient with them and they will get back to you as soon as they can. Once they have found a new location, I will post the new address and possibly a new phone number.

Thanks for the information!

Quite frankly they need a new building, the one they are in is quite old and probably not in the best of shape. I hope they find something soon.

A little background please

this newbie doesn't know what J&R represents but I assume it's rather important for this forum to be posted as permanent.

Followup, disregard my question. After reading the second sticky it kind of fills me in on this info. Now I would ask, any contact info for these folks?

Bob,
Thanks for that info. When they move could you provide updated contact info as well?
Thanks again,
Papa

Sure will, Papa. I have been trying to touch base with Rob & Jim the last couple of days. No word from them yet. Hopefully they have found a new location and are busily moving everything. Was told the new owner of the building is already moving their equipment in. Stay tuned for further developments.

Still on my way home from the Minnesota National Rally. Got this email from Rob & he wanted me to convey it to the forum:

Dear HiLo Owners,

Jim and I would like to take a moment to let you know that YES, we did sell our building in Butler and YES, we are staying in business!! We are currently in the process of negotiating a lease and we will let all of you know where our new location and address will be. We are moving all the same great equipment that we have to ensure our ability to continue doing the professional level repairs and rebuilds that you have come to trust. We are also taking all of our extensive line of parts as well as adding some new items to the mix. In addition to this, we are working to have our website completed to aid in your parts search as well as to help set appointments for repair work.

I realize that there are some people out there who have been misinformed regarding our current status. But rest assured, we are very much alive and are working hard to ensure not only a new experience for all of us, but an improved one too!

We very much appreciate all your patronage over the years and we aim to continue serving you well into the future with high quality parts and repairs. Our contact information will stay the same as far as email and phone number. We look forward to hearing from you as we are here for you!

Thanks and have a great day.

JR has been a life saver for me since our local HiLo dealer near Seattle went out of business. Always quick to help and answer questions. Great folks.

If there is anyone out there with the wherewithal, to restart the Hi-Lo Company; there is a dormant Fleetwood factory in Lindsay, Ontario, Canada, that would be happy to welcome another RV industry there. There is a labour force in the area, some of which are experienced RV trailer workers.
Who's got the contacts, and money to restart this company?
