Make sure there are no open doors inside the trailer causing it to jam in the up position.

Ty so much

It's in the down position

Debby,

It could still jam in the down position if there was a door open somewhere inside the trailer. Some people have had trouble with the bathroom door popping open on the upper section.

Also, it may have trouble rising if the there was a problem with one of the glides or cables. You may want to use silicon spray on the glides, and WD40 on the cables and pulleys.

It could also be a cable out of adjustment.

Possible Cause

Have someone help you and just keep a steady upward pressure on one rear corner and then the other. If it goes up with steady upward pressure, then I believe it is the one of the cables that needs adjusting. I speak from experience! Same happened to me. One corner cable probably has some slack that needs to be adjusted. Good luck

I have had a rod drop into the space behind the sink and cause this. I had to raise it the top just before it stopped by itself and dislodge the rod. Ward

Checking for decent lubrication is a good idea. However, I think there are better lubricants than wd40 for cables. I use a " chain lube" product. There are others out there. Still, my first guess is, also, something getting in the way inside as people have suggested or a cable that is jamming or has slipped off a pulley somehow.
