Default Repair service

The seal between the upper and lower sections of my 99 classic is deteriorating and I am looking for somewhere to get it replaced. I have tried several times to contact midget trailer with no response. Can someone recommend a repair center?
Thanks
John

Rob at JandR, is the bulb seal relatively easy to replace? My 1997 needs it especially
around the back. Should this project be done by an rv mechanic? My unit is is AZ
and I live in IN, but could hire someone in AZ if you don't think the ordinary person
should tackle the job.

Default Replacing the bulb seal.

Here is the information you need. Cable replacement in my 1998 HiLo 24TD. 3-3-2010. This 15page document explains how to break the halves of the HiLo apart. It is about an 8HR. job. Try this company for the 3/4 hollow p bulb seal with a 1" stem. EPDM "P bulb seal company". McMaster Carr.Measure the gap/distance/gap between lower and upper half. Or try www. Extrusions epm.com for p bulb seal. Perhaps someone that lives in AZ will know of a dealer that can fix this for you. J&R does a very good job with repairs. This is far from where the RV is located. Papa Beach did a nice write up on his DIYS install of the seal. DH and I have also done this repair. Good luck with this repair.

JGug1, finding a RV repair place is pretty easy, but finding one that has a genuine Hi Lo mech on staff is very rare! If you find that mech, make him your best friend.

I have an 1989/90 19 foot Funlite HiLo that has deteriorated seal between top and bottom. Need to buy the supplies to replace it and including for the entry door/screen. And I need to be able to tell our trailer repair shop in El Centro, CA (Rene) how to do it!

Default Do a search for Seal replacement.

Recent link to cable replacement. Some of the same steps apply. You have to seperate the halves to replace the seal. Some of our members have used garage door seal and other things in place of the bulb seal.

Search for a link for cable replacement as some of the steps are the same. Breaking the halves apart. We ordered our P bulb seal from J&R in Ohio. It was over $400.00 for 25ft of seal. Some was shiping as it was heavy. Then DH and I installed. Fun wow!! The seal is 3/4 hollow p bulb seal with 1" stem. Possible sources are EPDM "P bulb Seal Company-McMaster Carr. (epm.com P bulb Seal. Try Extrusions epm.com for p bulb seal. It might take your RV tech eight hours to do this repair. Lots of labor $.

Default Sorry my post is goofy.

My 14 and 1/2 pound cat decided to jump up on my keyboard as I was typing.
