Default Carl and Debbie's Rig

We are new here to the Hilo forum (although I have posted a few times already). OK...here is only one major reason I purchased a 2008 Hilo Towlite 22T. It tows flawlessly behind my Nissan Xterra. Also, it fits nicely in the garage with the help of my Power Caster to position it exactly where I can raise and lower it. This allows me to pack, maintain, tinker, and store it inside out of the elements. It does everything as advertised AND...hmmm..it is even great to camp in. How perfect is that ??!!

ckindle56,

Nice looking rig ya got there, post some interior pics too.
I bought mine last fall and have the same feelings about it. I will always check out other campers as I do with vans, bikes and guns, but being the researcher that I am usually my first buy is the one that I have for a long long time and I love my HiLo, loe the floor plan, love the large bathroom, love the extra large bed and I could go on and on. The only fault that I have with it is it's extra small gray water tank. Easily fixed if we're near a dump station with my Lil'blue buddy, but boondocking may be a problem. I'm considering expanding with a second tank, but I don't think I'll be without my 2693RD for awhile.
We're glad you have the same feelings for your HiLo!
What do your neighbors think about it, regarding the storage of your travel trailer in the garage. Ha!! Bet they get a kick out of that!

I found this used Power Caster on Craigslist. These things last forever and they have not changed over the years much at all (I think they added decals). So, it is better in my opinion to find them used, if you can. I paid $550 when they go for about $1300 plus shipping on the Power Caster web site.

Carl,
That is a beautiful rig and nice garage set up. Love the chrome wheels. As you said "How perfect is that?" I have a vision of you sitting on the propane tanks driving it down the street with that power coaster.

I don't know what I like best- your nice new Hilo or that terriffic garage that stores it in the upright position- really nice.
