Default My 1994 HiLo Glamper

We love this little camper! I will admit, the renovation was a challenge but we definitely enjoy the freedom it allows me and my hubby to have together. Worth the blood, sweat and tears!

Welcome, Kristimadd - The interior looks great! How long did the renovation take you? What size it it?

Thanks! She is 21 ft. We bought her last October so we have been slowly renovating a little at a time over a year. One weekend we would rip out dusty blue carpet then take off wall paper (horrible). I actually painted all of my fabric using chalk paint/sanding then lastly softening the fabric with clear wax. Not fun but I believe most of the time, a little elbow grease goes a long way. My ALL time favorite part of my camper is my stove. High Engine Heat Paint. Last week I finally put the flooring down. My sink and toilet are in great working order so I have not replaced them as of yet (eventhough they are a lovely color or puke yellow! lol. I will admit, sometimes I go in my backyard and just enjoy the space with a glass of wine. Thanks for the thumbs up!

You'll enjoy that same space with a glass of wine even more when you're out in the boonies. Have fun with your vacation villa on wheels!

You CAN paint plastic if you wanted to go that route to get rid of the "yellow". Krylon Fusion is a paint that is made especially for plastics. Not sure how well it would stand up to water in a sink though. There are epoxy paints that might do better. Then again, if you scoured the sink with relatively fine grade sandpaper (320 - 400 grit) before spraying, it might hold up just fine.

Default Krylon fusion paint

Love your renovation!! What patience with the painting process you describe. I have read many camping forums where this paint was used for sinks and bathtubs. It does hold up long term. Prep is the key. Welcome to the forum.

Color me impressed, Kristimadd. That's a wonderful renovation job. I'm glad it turned out that good after you've put so much effort into it.
