We purchased this the last of October...pulled it straight to an RV park right from the dealer and spent 3 nights...the first night in pouring rain ALL night...so we found the leaks...the second night, temps dipped below freezing...hey, the furnace worked great!

Came home and hubby found the leaks and sealed them. Went camping over Thanksgiving...5 nights this time...pouring rain 2nd night...no leaks...yay! Fourth and fifth nights...below freezing...warm and dry...what more could we ask for?! Love our new little COW (castle on wheels)!

Ready to go to Texas....hummmm, where shall we go for this new adventure?

Questions from you experienced Hi-lowers...what parts do you keep on hand for typical breaks...I.e. Fuses? Washers for faucets? Etc.

Also, we're fancy free and footloose...where have you gone that you loved the adventure?!

Welcome to the fun list. Sounds like you got the leaks fixed before beam damage. Wonderful.
We bought a 245TD 2 years ago and I wasn't as lucky, but It will be rebuilt in the spring. I also bought another HILO this fall that has water damage and it too will be fixed in the spring and probably sold.
We are planning on traveling one big trip across country next year to visit friends all over the US and Canada. We too are foot loose as long as we can stay away from the doctors.

Pungogirl,Welcome to the forum. Since your HiLo is eight yrs. old I would highly suggest you pull all the windows and reseal/replace. Youtube has a video on how to do this. Spend some time reading back posts for maintenance items. Also some operational videos have been posted. I would suggest some basic tools,duct tape,extra light bulbs for the trailer and your tow vehicle. Spare fuses for the HiLo. Air compresser to inflate any low tires and a good tire gague. I' m sure others will add to this list. Best of luckin all your adventures.

Pungogirl, I would suggest you do a thorough check of your trailer for fuses, as I keep finding more in my 2705 Tow Lite, and don't forget fuses for the TV. As suggested, basic tools, but you might include some type of breaker bar in case of tire problems. As you do more camping you will think of things that would come in handy, and if you look at a Camping World catalog, they have a huge selection of worthless items for camping, but included are some useful items.
