love it! good color choices.

I think the original designers were hunters that really loved some type of camo. After thinking it out, Hi Lo owners almost always come up with FAR BETTER interiors.

Thank you kindly Treeclimber. I had originally went with a lighter oak type flooring. However, I noticed how easily white showed up when it was lightly scratched. So we went with the grey / white driftwood linoleum. I did a test on flooring scraps by dragging a razor across the surface. You couldn't even see it on the driftwood where the oak was extremely visible.
So far we are loving it and have had it on 2 voyages to Martin Dies State Park and Huntsville State park here in TX. We've had to resolve a few minor plumbing issues and plan to completely remodel the bathroom. There is lots to do but it's also lots of fun! |

Thanks a million Jack. I've yet to comment on your solar post but it was an AWESOME READ and extremely insightful. I hope to set up a similar system in our camper and will probably have a few questions for ya when that time comes. Maybe late summer 2018. :) |

My DSO and I re-did our inside some time ago and like you I'm always looking for mods. I chose to do our floors in bamboo, which has held up beautifully against beach sand and minor rocks as well as everyday use and spills. It's the good stuff. Your floors look just like the ceramic tiles I put throughout my house. As the photo shows, the walls are done in two different shades of grey and gloss white trim with an upholstery update (We often bring the sewing machine with us). Keep the good work, congrats to you.

Joe Angel...Love the mods
I often refer to RV interiors as "coffins". I've been to a few RV shows and not much has improved as far as interior design/colors. It is amazing the paint products that will cover plastic.

For painting over the plastic coating on the paneling, you first need to clean it with TSP. It's a product sold at Wally word, HD or lowes. It takes all the wax and most of the shine off. Then the surface is wiped down with clean water and it's ready to hold the paint. Otherwise, the paint will just scratch off if rubbed too hard. Painting is such a transformation! Brightens the place right up.
Cold up there Sam? Tree |
We're going to start our GianiGranite process this weekend on the dinette. I'm checking out videos on technique. We had something very similar done in our bathroom at home and it turned out great! Looking forward to continuing with the remodel process this weekend! Happy Friday Everyone!!!

Treeclimber weather report
Thursday evening and into Friday mid day it was a steady rain. Friday it started out at 53* Then by evening it was 23* and snowing. We are going to get 4to 8" of snow. No unnecessary travel. Bone chilling temps of 14 for several days. I saw the world news and the entire east coast is in this weather pattern. Ten. had to shut down the freeway due to ice, snow and accidents. I just stay indoors and let DH take DD to work in the 4x4 Truck. Dh has used our big snowblower the most this season. Send us some of your warm weather if you have any!!
