The cable adjustment has stayed pretty much the same. Make sure the guide blocks are properly on the tracks, if it has them.

I cant tell- but had you totally disconnected the top half from the bottom? Looks like it. If so- you must have disconnected the cables to do it?

The top half has been totally rebuilt. It is all new. We don't have guide blocks, but rails that go up the walls on the inside. We solved the binding issue, we are just trying to figure out where it needs to be...so what is the sweet spot for the adjustments. We know it's not supposed to be "straight" per se. Is the perfect spot just where it seals properly along the gasket?

MossyOakLane, I am VERY impressed with the before and after pictures. I can tell a lot of hard but wholesome work went into this re-creation. My hat's off to all who did this fine job.

I am wondering if you have more pics of the top restoration. I'm am about to restore our 1962 Voyager. The bottom half is great but I will have to redo all the top part.

Our top was a full rebuild the only thing original are the windows and skin. Our bottom walls were in good shape. Let me see if I can dig some out.

Default 1963 Custom Camper

I just joined the forum 2days ago. I just purchased what I believe is also a 1963 Custom Camper. Thank You for the pictures on your rebuild. They will be very helpful for my wife and me. We have the original kitchen fully intact including the original stove top, ice box, and sink with pump faucet. Our upper walls need replacing. The roof is fully intact and the lower walls and dinette area only need sanding and refinishing. The one thing I will be looking for is a front window unit, it is completely gone. Once we get started, I will document the progress.

What did you use for seals between upper and lower sections?
