Default 80 mile an hr winds

Today we had winds of 50mph with gusts at 80mph. We lost electric for two hrs(hasn,t hapened to us in years. We pulled out some of camping gear. My heart really goes out to the people in many states that had floods, huricanes and loss of life. Stay safe and keep praying.

Yeah, we can relate to that. My wife and I left our home in Ballwin (St.Louis)for a month long trip to the West Coast. A massive tornado hit St. Louis on Good Friday. Another came through and hit our home. Our home has been hit twice this year already. Obviously, we have had to cut our trip short and are on on way home now. Tonight, we are in Holbrook Arizona. Will get on the road early tomorrow and hopefully, we will get home late Sunday night and assess the damage.

Sorry o here your house got hit. I hope the dammage is light. Today I was on the road for 1and a half hrs. Some places look like a war zone. A big tree in my sisters front yard crashed into the front of her house and ripped up the phone and electric line. My mother had part of her roof riped off. My brother in law is now using his generator for electric. That camping gear/survival skills come in handy. Got excited when I drove by the State Park as it is open now. Starting to see RVs traveling.

TJM, sorry to hear about your house. I hope it did not sustain too much damage. It's been such a horrible year for tornadoes.

Tom and Judy,

Godspeed, but please drive carefully in your haste to get home. Hopefully the damage to your home is minor.

Jim
