Default Emergency Vet care

Discovered our beloves neutered male cat had been bitten by another cat.Used my nursing skills to determine that he had to be seen today, even though it was 4:10pm. The vet debrided the wound and did an excellent job of explaining what happened. We were so lucky he could take care of this in the office. $100.00. The alternativve would have been a $400.00 surgery. Says this happens every mating season and he sees 3to4 cases of this a week. He must stay indoors until he heals and takes his two antibiotic pills a day. We did pretty good as he is eight years old and this is the first emergency care. He is such a "whimp" for a male cat. Furby wouldn't hurt a flea!! We had three stray cats, did our share. One has passed away.
