Default Getting a new escape Vent cover

When I talked to Rob at JR Repair I asked about closing off the roof on the exterior due to not being able to get just the exterior 14x25 vent cover. He said he now has a supplier for the whole assembly. We would just need the exterior cover. He said to give him two weeks on this as he is in discussions with a person that may be able to supply just the vent covers. This person is on vacation this week. I really hope this works out as our cover is "old and somewhat tired". We really baby it and have kept it covered with a thick contractor garbage bag to protect it over the winter. Keep your fingers crossed that this potential supplier works out. We really like this vent for the air flow it provides.

Why can't you buy a new cover? They have them here just "pricey"...

One google search... "escape vent cover"...

I looked at them at a local place to me, but I plan on replacing the whole thing when I do the roof this winter...

Standard RV item...

Default Getting escape vent cover

Thanks for the reply. The size of my escape vent is 14x25. This website doesn,t list this size. I'll see what Jr comes up with. Pricy!!!! Maybe a better alternitive would be to roof over this vent on the exterior. You still would have the inside frame. Open a window it is cheaper!!!! I still would have the escape window by the dinette.

Not sure, but I think the vent cover is measured according to the hole size...

Another place here but from what I've seen, they are all pricey... I have even shopped local, and they are even more...

Default Vent clarification

Jr is able to get the whole vent assembly. The price I would hate to get a quote on. What exactly do you have to do to your roof. Is it rubber?

I'm replacing it with a one peice EPDM, right now it's a 4 section rubber roof and I don't like that idea (4 sections) going to a place that rains nearly everyday... right now it's not an issue, it does not leak, and we're lucky if we get rain once a month...

It's a precaution/preparation thing.
