Today our HiLo -3 gang went to our local RV show. Six dealers were represented. We saw many 32 to 36 feet models. Got an anxiety attack just thinking about hauling them around and how the heck do you even get that high to wash them.? The interiors were basic brown,brown border wall paper and dark laminate flooring and dark cupboards. Didn't see anything that was a wow to report. A lot of the trailers had two entry doors and the second door opened up showcasing the toilet. I can envision some one opening the door and the person on the "throne letting out a blood curtling scream". Anyway,we got to see our4 retired salesman,came out of retirement at age 80 to help out with the show. Many of the trailers had sold signs on them. Everyone says the economy is bad!!!! Many used trailers also sold. We go to this show every year to have a little fun in the winter. No charge to get in. Still love my HiLo and won't be giving it up anytime soon. Most of the trailers are made of light materials. Wonder how well they will holdup after slamming down the road for about three years.

Our hometown, just this past weekend, had its big annual RV Show. As with your experience, it was fun to look, but we didn't see anything we liked better than our Hi-Lo! In fact, of the many sales people that engaged us in conversation, several who asked us what we currently own actually knew what a Hi-Lo was... and asked us if were actually seriously thinking about trading (NO). One older fellow told us that in all the years he had been pushing RV's, he had found Hi-Lo owners were a lousy sell... that we seldom wanted anything else!

Go figure!

There has only been one trailer that I would consider, an Open Range. But it's huge! I like my 26 footer for getting into tight spots. One of the things that I brag about to my friends with the fivers is that I don't have to drag it through the trees to get into the woods, HIYA! I really don't think that I will ever buy another one.....? Have some plans for this one to make it a little more winter campable with my Honey, but I love this thing.

I'm with you a "die hard HiLo fan",especially now that we have restored it. It really looks new on the inside. Should be done for sure sometime this coming week .Hubby has been real faithful on the project. Today I ordered another roll of seam tape. Should be in on Monday. Our dealer has an 18ft.H for sale 2010. Owners of 5'ers end up with delamination on the front as it has to constantly push against the wind in travel. The onlu other trailer my husband has considered is a "silver Twinkie" Airstream. I did entensive research on this and a used one at a minimum would cost us $3,000 to restore. Besides I have claustrophobia. I,m all for less work in retirement.!!!! I,m hoping the HiLo can be manufactured again with any issues corrected.
