I recently purchased a Viair portable compressor(85P). It will deliver up to 60lbs working pressure. 40% duty cycle.

Issue is, that if you have a flat, it often/usually happens while driving and then the tire gets shredded. If not, I can do a road side repair, fill and go.

A new toy, I hope I don't have to use. The boy scout in me!
My help stimulating the economy.

Two items that I routinely carry in my truck:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Amazon.com: Clore JNC660 'Jump-N-Carry' 1,700 Peak Amp 12-Volt Jump Starter: Automotive

I haven't yet used the tire pump, but the battery jumper has proven useful.

Default Vinyl seat covers

I had vinyl seat covers made for dinette and bench seats so my dog wouldn't ruin the upholstered cushions.

Most assuredly a rear view camera! Every time I look in the rear view mirror all I see is a "HI LO" decal. It took a little getting used to, but looking at the screen is a vast improvement. Next would be a perfectly fitting queen sized futon with memory foam mattress, LED lighting also worked great. We're in the process of changing the fabrics inside, Lord knows what's next.
Have a great camping season, ours started at Oscar Scherer SP in Osprey, Fl.

Wrascal,

Just ordered and received the Clore JNC660 jump starter. Here's hoping I never have to use it! Also ordered the VIAIR 85P Portable Air Compressor, which arrives tomorrow.

Getting ready to head out to the Nevada desert soon so figured these two items might be good to have. Don't want to end up like this guy!

So now I'm wondering if this jump starter battery could be used to provide power to lift the top half of the trailer and deploy or retract the tip out in an emergency?

Thoughts?

I suspect it COULD raise the top. My only concern is that you would probably hook it to the "dead" battery in the trailer, and it's output would be split between trying to apply a fast charge to the dead battery and supplying the current needed to run the lift pump motor. Since it weighs only 18#, my guess is it cannot supply starting voltage and current for very long. Probably long enough to start a vehicle, since they usually fire pretty quickly if the starter can turn over, but the lift motor runs for what, 15-20 seconds maybe?

I think a better solution is a generator that you can recharge the battery with, or, a set of jumper cables that can reach from the tow vehicle to to the trailer battery. If you think about it, I doubt you'd find yourself in a situation where BOTH the TV and trailer batteries would be dead, so you could always start the TV with the trailer battery or raise the top with the TV battery.
