Default Lifts in stops and starts

We just picked up a 2007 19T Friday and are really enjoying it except for one thing.

When we try to lift it will go part way up then stop. After about 30 secs, it will go up a bit more and stop again. After about 10 minutes of stops and starts it is fully up.

Could it be the battery?

Thanks

An easy check to do, Jumper the house battery to your truck battery (with the truck running) with jumper cables. With this set-up it it should give enough power for the lifting. Also, check the fluid level and all of the grounds

Yes the battery is weak, this could be because you have had the refg on 12 volt and not getting adequate charge from the tow vech. Check the out put from the tow vech, you may have a caroded contatc at the truck to trailer plug.

Excellent thought. We did have a similar problem on our Santa Fe, we've cleaned the contacts and see what happens

Thanks

Well, it appears to have been the battery and/or contacts. We drove from Amarillo to OKC today and it went right up.

Thanks for your help
