Default up dowm.

ok so working on restoring my 83 hi lo, i ran into a slight problem. i have had it for about a month. got it home and was not sure how to put it up. used battery and up up up it went. great. 2 days ago i wanted to clean and sand the upper part. ( my wife wanted to put a turquoise stripe on the upper half. ) i lowered it fine, but when i finished what i was doing , i needed it back up . so plugged it back into the 120 and you could hear it (the motor) running then switch off and reset . ( not enought power scotty) . yet it goes up fine with a battery. hmmm , fluid is fine. does anyone else have this problem? is 120 not enough juice?

You do need the battery to put it up. The converter does not supply enough amperage for the task.
