Another Awning Post
 

Hi All,

New to the forum. We have purchased a 85 26’ Hi Lo and have been loving it! We have mostly remodeled the interior, still working...

Next is an awning. There is a mounting rail along the roof and arm brackets on the bottom. I am curious if anyone on here may have one for sale? Were the original awnings the dometics ? I would prefer to find something that works with the original mount to avoid removing / replacing = more holes. The mounting bracket is a long “c” channel that the awning would slide into.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. There is a local shop here that can replace the fabric if you happen to have one for sale..

I just replaced my awning on a 22T, I ordered the awning from amazon much to my surprise the awning fit the length perfect but when the awning is open it is about a foot to wide. I have discovered that hi lo mounting brackets are different(smaller) more compact for storage than the standard rv. So, hopefully I can get someone to cut the awning and stitch the cord that holds the awning to the trailer. Hope this is help for you.

Mail pouch is right HiLo awnings are special. On my 1990 HiLo the awning is made by carefree of colorado. I was able to get repair parts. Post a picture of the hardware you have. Someone on the forum was able to get replacement awning fabric from Shadepro.

My late Hi-Lo dealer friend used to get the replacement awning fabric from his RV parts supplier. They did not come from Hi-Lo. They required numbers from the fabric tag and/or the actual measurements of the fabric. I think it was the Carefree brand. The only thing truly unique to Hi-Lo is the mounting bracket on the bottom of the Hi-Lo upper half.

I just replaced awning parts and fabric. Dometic was very helpful. They told me that the awning fabric was the standard 14 ft replacement fabric. I have a 2202 TD
