Marty.

It might be best if you were to take a picture of your Hi Lo on the awning side and send to the forum. I cannot imagine an awning without poles unless it is of the swing out design.

Could it be like this? Classic Bag Awning | ShadeMaker Products Corp.

They are typical to popup campers. It rolls up into a zippered bag. The poles fold into a channel that goes across the edge of the awning.

We had five popups over the years, the awnings are pretty foolproof.

Default Might I suggest

that you pick up some PVC type piping (water pipe) cut to length. Or if desired, several shorter pieces with connectors (for easier storage but more complicated erection).

The poles are telescoping and are attached to hinge out of the bottom awning rail. They telescope to adjust to height, using the spring buttons that pop through holes on the outside poles. There should also be poles that go between the side of the trailer and the underside edge of the awning to to hold the awning stretched out. Go to an RV dealer that sells popups, they may have something that will work.

I found this on Ebay, it is a CD that tells you how to make your own awning, it should show how to make the poles, etc. http://www.ebay.com/itm/DIY-Guide-to...item1c2d3a1e9e
