My hinges are black piano hinges, both front and back. I bet you could find them online if you don't see them in stores. Looks to me like the front one is about 24" long and the rear one is maybe 36". They don't extend to the edges of the diamond plate.

Default hinge

J & R said they had them for $18 + shipping blk only thats what I'll do, panels in front & battery cover beat up so will replace. but as slow as I am will take a while. think diamond plate will solve the ugly. putting step stickon on so if ever touches battery no sparks

I want to reinforce the front hinge to keep the cover from sagging. I plan on using aluminum angle and bolting it to the underside by removing the rivets that hold the hinge presently and bolting through both the hinge and the angle. Stainless nuts and bolts would be best.

It's over the pump area and will not be close to the terminals. It should increase the space above them because it will help take the sag out of the cover.
