Hey, Y'all.
Hi-Lo put a pulley inside one of my storage compartments. They then had to cut out the door and upper edge of the compartment in order to clear the pulley. Now rain runs down the side of the trailer and into the compartment. This soaks everything in there, but even worse, it rusts the pulley and cable. Anybody else have this problem and know a solution? Thanks.

I know in the storage compartment on the side of my trailer that has the power cord, fills up with water when it rains. I was just going to drill some holes in it to help it drain. I don't think I have the pulley in there like you do. Not sure to how to stop the water from getting in, but keeping it from staying there has to be step in the right direction.

I have a 2805C and I don't have a pully in the compartment with the power cord. Not sure why there is a difference in yours and mine. I have never had water get in any of the compartments except the rear bumper compartment. That compartment lid was not made to keep water out. I estimate my HiLo has close to 40,000 miles on it.

Maybe you could add a "drip rail" over that compartment opening similar to the one over the entry door.

Anybody know where to buy a nice-looking section that would serve this purpose?

you will have to make sure that any drip rail or fix you may use will not interfere with lowering the top or damage the seal.

Thanks. Very good point. It will be close. This particular compartment cannot be opened with the Hi-Lo collapsed because an awning bracket interferes. After I finish rebuilding the roof section I'll lower it and see if there's enough clearance.

Look up EZE Gutter. Its a vinyl gutter for boats and RVs. I used a few sections of this in my previous boat and was very pleased.

you can also try a 1.5 inch strip of rubber, overlap top of door and hold in place with an aluminum strip
