Micro Monitor not working.

Looking for advice. When we got the 1996 26ft. Classic in june the monityor panel worked briefly. DH replaced it with the same unit. It is a Micro Monitor Kib USA. The multi meter shows power to the pump. They grey black and fresh won't light up. Probably a ground problem. What would be the next steps to trace this problem? Would the problem be at the tank probes? Should DH replaces the probes with Horbust(sp)? Does any probe cleaner work? I call these "idiot lights" Would be nice to have this working. Probably will have to wait to spring to R&R.

I did a search on the internet for the Micro Monitor trouble shooting.

Some very good articles and suggestions that we will try in the spring.

I don't know what's wrong with your tank monitoring system, but it DOES sound a bit like a bad ground somewhere.

As far as tank probes go, I replaced all mine in the grey and black tanks with Horst Miracle Probes and have been very satisfied with the result. They were not too hard to install. I had tried cleaning the tanks with the old probes, but they still gave false high readings. The new ones don't.

Thanks for the reply.

DH looked at the available information on the internet. We won't be able to trouble shoot this until the spring as it was 40* today. We are winterized. Another camping season in the books.

For what's it worth. I have a 1998 26ft Classic and in inspecting the tanks I found that some of the low voltage wiring connectors had corroded and were just hanging.

Our 1996 HiLo Classic is at the body shop.

Right now is 20* and 1 to three inches of snow is on the ground. This repair is on the list of things to do in the spring. I have more things on the RV repair list than I have for house hold repairs.
