Replacement grey tank

Does anyone know what company hilo used for their tanks. I have to replace my grey tank, cracked real bad by outlet spout. It doesn't match the black tank, so I think it might have already been replaced. for a 2001 29ft

We have a guy working on using some epoxy to seal the outlet of our black tank as we chat. It is cracked around the outlet collar. Depending on the extent of damage, you may be able to find someone to do that or do it yourself if you're handy.

Epoxy MAY work, but I'd be concerned about how well it would adhere to the ABS surfaces. My fiberglass, ABS glue repair has worked very well and it was easy to do. It completely sealed the crack at the collar where the outlet pipe joined my black tank.

I just talked to him. It's just a case of terminology confusion. He is using a Holding Tank Repair kit which is just that. ABS cement and fiberglass cloth. Thanks for the input. I read your extensive comment on this topic in another post.

If you need to replace it, I used a place named Fabriplast 832-649-7622. They use 1/4" PVC type 1. It is more sturdy than the ABS. They are in Houston.

Hi,
J and R repair had a black tank when I was looking for one they may have the tank you need. I did a lot of research on tank repair and ended up plastic welding and repairing mine. I used a plastic welder from harbor freight and matching plastic. Took me a while. I had 5 huge cracks and still holding after 2 years.

grey tank

I found a tank and replaced it with one from ICON ind. The whole drain spout was cracked off and had been repaired with the wrong glue/caulk. Easier to replace than try and clean all old adhesive and repair with correct fittings. Thank you for the help.

Update: My guy fixed the leak using the repair kit. Very solid. He also secured the pipes to the frame with a brace to prevent bouncing during travel which is probably what caused it to crack in the first place.

Securing the pipes to the frame is a good idea too. Glad you have the problem fixed without replacing the tanks.
