Default light socket burning out

We installed 2
3 vintage lights in our HiLo using existing wiring. 2 of them work fine. 1 of them keeping "burning up" the sockets. We have now put in 2 new sockets and this last one lasted about 3 hours. Turned on maybe 3 times. The wiring is good, he checked it all when we gutted it. So what is going on?? Help please! We have been in camper now for 2 weeks and have 2 more to go. Its my kitchen light, so maybe if it doesn't work, I won't have to cook??

Have you read out the wires for proper voltage? It may look good, but maybe over voltage is the culprit. Or the bulbs poorly made (China?). Had a dome light in my '63 Dodge Dart For some unknown reason the base had 19 volts! Pulled the ceiling down, rewired, never had the problem again. You can still cook by candle light .....
