Default Tip out motor is shot

Hello everyone, I have a 2007 2707 and the power winch for the tip out has stop working. Now power winch doesn't make that motor anymore, the carefree P92001 is the new motor that will replace the old one. The problem is that the P92001 shaft is 1.5"as oppose to the 1" shaft on the old motor, the problem is these motors are set up for cable with a hole through the shaft, my tip out has a strap and two collards to hold the strap in place. Other than laving the shaft down, does anyone have a suggestion? Thanks in advance for any help.

Maybe J&R Trailer has an exact replacement motor?

Could you have your old motor rebuilt? I think that would be a better solution than trying to modify the shaft on a new one. Possibly, the old motor just needs new brushes or something similar.

I agree with Jack.
Repairing is much easier than re-engineering.
And J&R have always come through for me in the parts dept.

Isolate the switch and confirm it is the motor. Switch is much cheaper.

Thank you for your help. Yes that would be the easier solution, however I was told that the motor couldn't be repair because they no longer make parts for this motor.I was wondering if I could use a cable because that's what these motors were set up for. I think it would be easier to hook up a cable since there is a hole in the shaft. any thought on that. Thanks in advance for your help.

Default Motor for tipout

I don't have a tipout in my HiLo. Call Jay Simon for HiLo paarts. He often times has hard to get parts in his supplies. Mantelli Trailer sales 1-716-625-8877. He has come through for us on several occasions.
