Dometic fridge control switch
 

I managed to break the selector knob for 12v 120v propane operation. Dometic had it in stock and in my hands now. Can’t get needle nose pliers in hole to remove broken stub, and the faceplate won’t come off. Appears a connection to the green/white indicator is keeping the cover from moving forward enough to access the selector switch shaft.
Any ideas?

My fridge is not like that, but since it was put together by man, it can be taken apart!

Can you find a parts diagram or something similar that would give you some ideas? Is this something you might find in an internet search? (There are utubes on everything, now.) If that top "loose" part is pushed back in place, can you lift the green/white thingy out a bit? It looks as though there is an electrical feed to it - I suspect there is a blade type connector on the back.

Hopefully, someone with better thoughts will post here.

Jack, thanks for the quick thought. When searching for the part number, I called dometic parts and they were very helpful. They had in stock and I had it 3 days later. (Reasonable price too)
I was able to find thinner pliers and removed the broken piece. Back in action now. Attached is a picture of factory part incase someone is searching.

I SEE (said the blind man....). I had no idea what had broken on your refrigerator but now I understand. Good on you for figuring out how to get the leftover part out.
