how do I use the AC for the 1989 funlight 2089L??needs some kind of adapter cord?

Hi bouldercreek, welcome to the forum!

First, you'll have to be plugged into "shore power" and that will normally need to be a 30 Amp service to provide the needed load, although I think some members have gotten it to work on a 20 Amp circuit. Full service campgrounds will have the needed electrical hookups.

Then, you'll possibly have to connect a rather heavy cord from the bottom half of the trailer (where the power comes in) to the top half, where the Air Conditioner is located. The ports for this are often found in the bathroom area. You may find the cord in a bathroom cabinet. The cord is probably about 6-8 ft long. If you can't find the cord, and you know who the prior owners are, ask them about it.

Later models of our trailers (like mine) had a cord that was permanently attached at both ends.

Then, of course, the Air Conditioner controls are on the unit where it protrudes through the ceiling.

I believe the A/C on your model was powered from a cord on the outside. Now I'm guessing, the cord had twist lock ends that plugged in outside. You will need to determine the type you will need, and a length of 12 gauge cord.

I'm open to correction on that.

My 89 classic has the cords on the outside. There’s a box on the side near the roof that is about as far back as the AC. Inside the cubby where the shore power cord is stored is another thinner cord. That will plug into the the cord inside the box.
