Default howl coming out of a/c on the outside

I went camping this weekend and it rained very hard. when i returned from going out to eat, the a/c unit(dometic) was howling on the outside, but still blowing cold air, has anyone else had this problem? I turned it off until i could check it out so i wouldn't damage anything more than what could have been done.

The fan motor bearings may need lubed, or there is something rubbing inside.
