Default panasonic nn-5462a door

New to the forum and have a panasonic nn-5462a microwave that the outer door panel cracked on. Either looking for a door or a place that might have it in Stock. Thanks for any help.

Jennie, Sears says this replacement door is $88 plus shipping and handling.......H H Gregg says they have about a hundred microwaves in stock that will make your look like a piker. I'd make yours a boat anchor and buy a new one.

Rather than using it as a boat anchor you could post it on craigslist and easily get $10-$15 (assuming it otherwise still works).

Or plan B, donate it to someone/something. While my youngest was in grad school their break-room didn't have a microwave. When we upgraded (the display was flickering but otherwise it worked) we donated it to them. They were grateful. I assume its still there (5 years now).

Wrascal, remember the warnings on the unit itself about radiation if the door is broken......

My assumption is that he's speaking of the outer plastic piece, but heh! even if not, just stand back a few feet. Or fix it with duct tape.

Thanks for the help.I'll check out Sears again but thought they were out.. It is just the outer panel, but Panasonic said don't use or as suggested don 't stand close while using.. I'll also take a look at HH Gregg.... Thanks.. now off to the next Gremlin..
