I have a question, should I leave the A/C plugged into the wall while transporting or am I supposed to unplug it and store the cord in the receptacle? I have a 2000 290B.

I unplug for piece of mind. I think the cord may rub on the outside of the trailer when the top is down.

Never thought about it. I leave mine plugged in. I haven't seen any damage from leaving it plugged in.

It's meant to be unplugged or they wouldn't have put a plug and a place to store the cord. I had mine pulled out all the way and for got to unplug it, the next time I put the top up it got caught between the seal and the bottom scuffed everything up.

I diddnt think it mattered, until I raised the top on Thursday. The cord (which was plugged in) had looped under the bathroom faucet. so when it raised, the ceiling was damaged where the wire pulls through. bummer. live n learn. I will be an "unplugger" from now on.

Interesting, mine is an 85 model and you have to plug the air conditioner in from the outside, it has a separate cord that runs from the storage to the air conditioner

Well heck. You don't have the option of unplugging it in my model trailer.

Thanks for the comments, my cord is in the back bedroom and doens't look like it can get caught on anything but you never know. I haven't unplugged it yet the 5 or 6 times I have used the trailer, but I am relatively new to my trailer (got it in April)

On my 2805C if the cord is pulled out completely when plugged in and you moved it over to the outside of the top lip of the bottom half it can go down the outside wall when you lower the top then get caught between the seal and outside wall when you raise the top and could scuff the wall. Think thats why they provided a means to unplug and stow the cable. Another caution, I left the removable triangle shelf in the bedroom in place and the outside edge had been set up on the top trim and when I lowered the top it tore the wall paper. Another good reason for a checklist, and use it.
