Here are some pics from Zion, they were taken late in the day, the sun was still very bright but the mountains blocked it. The first pic is the tunnel entrance to the park, bright sun, from the south east, can't remember the route, trailers have to wait for traffic to be stopped in the opposite direction. Pics 6 & 7 show a fire on the mesa, white smoke in pic center, hikers were removed. The rest are random shots, the park is in a valley. We enjoyed it, pics of the next day must have been lost. Camera quality is poor, and I am not a good photographer.

Richard,
Did you enjoy the visit? I think it is a great park and enjoy the hikes. The huge temperature fluctuation in the desert can catch you off guard. We did the Emerald Pools hike one chilly morning and about got heat stroke walking on the open hillsides where the sun hit it. It was a good thing we carry a couple of icy beers for just such and emergency. Ralph |
