wall and couch

ok we re apolstered the dinette cushions in our 83 hi lo. looks great. now we are in the process of re apolstering the jackknife couch bed. one side i can get to the screws , the one by the door. but, the other side is close to the bathroom wall and no way can i get a screwdriver in there without taking the wall down. help is needed to figure out how to either get to the screws or take the wall down, please, any help will be welcomed.

Removal of couch

Could you post a picture of the problem area. I would hate for you to have to tear the wall out.

I have a different model of hi lo but had to use a right angle screwdriver to get in a few tight spots

Glad you solved your problem without having to tear out the wall.

Dh has been frustrated a time or two with HiLo repairs. He gives it a day or so and then figures out what he needs to do.

Would like to see a pic of the couch as well. I feel like mine sinks more in some spots than it should and think I might be missing some reinforcements?

I've been tearing apart my 84' Hi-Lo and was faced with a similar issue with the jack knife couch. After tearing about the set of drawers on one end, I found an access panel inside the cabinet which, when removed exposed the screws to take release the bed frame from the wood base.
I'd also be interested in seeing photos, especially with the re-covering of the bed/couch.

Great Job!

You folks did an awesome job on your tip-out couch. Glad to see what can be done. Thanks for the photo. John
