Default Problem Winterizing

I am just Winterizing for the second time.

I follow the instruction, and the pump sucks the antifreeze in, the cold taps soon show the red coloured antifreeze, but the hot taps do not have any flow.

I can't recall this happening last year.

Any ideas?

John

John, did you bypass the hot water heater? (2 valves that do this). You can then simply remove the plug in the heater to drain it and both the hot and cold the lines will be filled with antifreeze.

When I do this, I get antifreeze from both hot and cold taps.
