Contact Paper in Shower.

I'm looking for a little advice on making this repair. As you can see in the photo the contact paper is peeling off, exposing the wood trim around the shower control valve. Is there an better fix than just removing, and reapplying contact paper. If not is there special contact paper that I should use?

Check home Depot. The make pvc moldings in various shapes. Cuts like wood then caulk.

Excellent suggestion Tom. I bet the repair will look better than the original from the factory, Papa.

Thanks, I'll go down tomorrow and get some.

Take the "caulk" to heart - just caulk it on, don't run screws through it.

Or if you choose to run screws, get some nice stainless ones (they're pretty cheap).

Just a thought.

PS - the idea of the PVC trim is brilliant!

Caulk it on and you can also shoot it with a pin nailer just like wood trim then you only have tiny holes to caulk and caulk the perimeter.

Got it done this afternoon. Looks MUCH better than the original. Thanks everyone.

Now I have a new problem that I will make in a different post.

I just now realized that I installed it upside down! However, I think that it will work just fine because the hot and cold valve is not switched.

That look awesome. There is such a wide range of uses for that trim. And it's water proof.

Thanks Tom. I have never heard of it before, and I amazed of the divergent styles. I think that I will go back and get some small quarter round to do the corners.

I used it in a 1959 Vacationette canned ham trailer I remodeled

Unfortunately I don't have any of the interior. I might still have them on an older phone.
