Default Where can I buy Dexron 2 or 3?

Do chains such as Advance Auto carry? General motors car dealerships? Autozone?

Where might I find some locally? Or, should I buy on line?

Jerry

The Dexron fluid was a long time standard. You should be able to get it at any auto parts store.

But - I think you'll have trouble finding Dexron II, I did. Dexron III was available though. As far as I know, the "higher numbers" are backwards compatible, so you SHOULD be able to use Dexron iV or Dexron V if they are all you can find.

If anyone has a different opinion, I'm sure they'll speak up.

- Jack

I've been slowly moving up with Dexron numbers over the years, but always putting them in old transmissions. I've been told the higher numbers are all backwards compatible too, and they seem to do fine in older trans.

Also in the garage, some stuff to pull it:
1999 3/4 ton 'Burb
1993 Roadmaster wagon (well, it probably won't pull it)
