Besides the "New Posts" feature I believe a "Recent Posts" feature would be good; e.g the last two weeks of activity. This would allow one to log in and see what has been added or changed during the recent past. Unless there is a way to do this I am not aware of yet.

You can use the "New Posts" menu item in the blue band between Calendar and Search. If it doesn't find anything, you'll see an option to look for anything new or updated in the last 24 hours.

Some other forums have a "New Posts" menu that allows you to look for things in the past 24 hours, past 2, 3, 4 days and so on.
