Replacement motor etc

Can I use this motor as a replacement for my 1989 voyager? My motor has gone to the great campground in the sky. I need to replace as my Hi Lo is Hi and will not go lo. ALl trouble shooting points to the motor.

The lift pump is basically the same as used on snowplow lifts. If it is of the dimensions to fit it probably would work. Your image did not show up. Here is a link to a Hi-Lo parts dealer that shows the assembly that Hi-Lo used.

This model shows up on the www.surpluscenter.com website.

when the motor went bad on my unit I went to a starter shop and bought a new motor this ia basicallya starter motor

You didn't say what the problem is.

Does the top not lift or not go down. It may be very simple, the lift pump doesn't fail very often.

The Hi lo is stuck in HI. No red light comes on. (new Battery)No give in the cable. we have searched this camper over...
We found the motor is not good after using a volt meter. After months of trouble shooting we are going to try this.....so we are so new to this, and camping, we are grasping at straws and would like to use the camper this season. We live in the midwest no camper repair place will work on a Hi Lo :(

A truck shop that sells snowplows for pickups could probably check and repair the lift motor/pump. They're basically identical.

we ordered a new motor. We got it installed. We have a friend who works on irrigation motors coming over tonight. Wish us. well....if not we will have an amazing HI LO 30 years old for sale. We really want this to work. The cable not pulling and the red light coming on concerns me. Thank yo all for your support....Its sad when you want something but have no clue about it.lol

Good luck!

Don't give up if it doesn't. A Hi-Lo isn't the space shuttle and everything can be repaired without a busload of engineers and computer geeks!

Keep us posted!!

Don't give up!!

We will advise you every step of the way until you get your HiLo working.

UPDATE! we replaced the motor. That worked some ( our unit goes up). Our safety cable...does not pull out enough to release the safety thing. SO my husband goes under the unit and does some magic and the unit will lower correctly. SO we have a HI LO that goes HI and goes LO! we are camping friday for the first time ever! Cant wait thanks toall of you for the support. I am sure we willhave more questions after our maiden voyage. Thanks Thanks Thanks

Kewel! We're all delighted you were able to get things working. Have fun with your new toy! I suggest a fairly short trip to a campground with some sources of help nearby for the first trip. I was amazed at what I found we should have had with us on our first trip out.
