I'm looking at what seems to be a very nice hi lo camper. It had some water damage around Windows and he says it's quite simple to fix. In one spot it actually caused the exterior to pop out causing the hi lo to not go down until fixed. He is only asking 700.00. Can anyone please give me some advice. The man seems like a nice man..... hellllllllp please

What year is this HiLo and what length.? The Ckassics are heavier. Certain years of the Towlites have wood frames and some have lighter aluminum frames. If water damage was so easy to fix why didn't the owner fix it and sell for more $. Water damage big red flag!!!! Water damage =lots of time and $ to repair. This comes from someone who has had to do extensive water damage repair on our 1990 HiLo Classic. Go back and take pictures of the water damage and post. Do all the appliances work? How handy are you? Depends on what your budget is. We have a check list in what to look for in a used unit. Hope this helps you. It is not just a matter of taking the windows out and resealing anf the water damage goes away. I would only offer $200.00 for a trailer in this damaged condition. New materials could be $1000.00 to fix this RV. Hope my honest answer helps you. Sorry about a few typos.

if it is only water damage around the window, it is not a big deal, windows are easy to remove and reseal, of course under the outside cover it is basically plywood and they do swell and rot when they get wet, you can cut the damaged plywood and replace it with new pieces and put back the windows with new sealant, if you are comfortable with basic carpentry it an be done, just parts that needs to be replaced, and most of them can be purchased at your local hardware/lumber store. $700 sounds like a good deal for only window water leak.

If fit is popped out enough not to go down then you have some serious water damage. You have to tear stuff out to fix it and then replace what you tore out.

I agree that if you can't raise and lower the trailer then you have some pretty serious water damage. Seems like walls would have to be replaced.
