Talking 1989 HiLO New Owner! Yay!!

Howdy all y'all!! I have been searching for a vintage teardrop camper Hi & lo!! LOL Last week I stumbled upon an 89 fun lite. Went to see her yesterday near Albany GA & brought her home! They were asking $1700. I got her for $1300. There is no fridge, he said he was going to pick one up @ Walmart to put in it.
But, that means it isn't running without power while on the road, correct?
Would love suggestions......
Gonna get a fresh battery & she needs a spare tire. Cosmetic stuff inside to personalize to my taste......can't wait to begin!
If anyone is in or visiting the NW FL area, LMK!!
Compass Lake in the Hills Property Association has a great lil RV park, & the area is a FL most people have never seen. Very rural, rich farmland. I moved here from Chicago 5 years ago. I tell people it is WI without the snow, & with palm trees! Very much the world in the 50's & 60's. Absolutely love it here & can not wait to start camping & making more memories.
OK, have a blessed day & Thanks for All Y'all Do!!

check out the library section for manuals and brochures- those should get you started on how stuff works. There ARE ways to run a 110v refrig while on the road but it means a lot batterey and very heftyinverters. I dont recommend it at this point. One of the great things about rv refrigerators is the ability to run them on either 1110v or propane. If you never plan to be away from shore power then a little wal mart "room" refrigerator would function- but you may want to look into actually replacing it with a real 3-way rv refrigerator. Not cheap, though. Have fun and welcome to the forum.

Hi! Welcome to the forum from NE Kansas, it's a great place for information and exchanging ideas, plus you get to see a lot of other cool HI-LO trailers. Also, someone posted a link recently to a manufacturer who picked up the brand. Go to Camping Trailers | Hi-Lo Trailers. There is a HI-LO Then and Now tab where you can go to find the brochure on your '89 Funlite. Happy camping!
