I'll start by saying the wife (Pam) and I (Bill) are new to the whole camping thing. We are retiring and want to see the country while we are still able. We were browsing camper ads while visiting Wisconsin and stumbled across Ladyhawk91208's listing for her '72 Hi-Lo. It's in great shape and virtually all original. We bought it from her in mid December. We stuck around to enjoy Wisconsin's cool winter and see some snow for the first time in over 45 years. As a bonus, we got to experience the whole polar vortex thing. It was a lot of fun, but we are ready to head back to our home in Florida now. Once there, we plan to get familiar with and put our own personal touches on this camper. Then we plan to head out and see the country. This forum has already proven to be a great resource. We are certain that the members here will be a great inspiration and fantastic source of help and information in the coming months and years.

Welcome to the Hi-Lo family folks. We've had our 2007 Classic since new and are still in love with it. We've added some things to make traveling and staying in camp grounds without full hook-up easier. Be happy to share what we've done with you. Make some great memories!!!

Hello Neighbor, we are on the other FL coast, enjoying our homebuilt Hi-Lo, with a dry galley and a bucket. We are real new to this as we had our first outing at Rainbow Springs this week.

LOVE that Rainbow Springs! Have stayed there often, lots to do in the area. Did you float down the river? Bit cold for that. Used to be a commercial CG with a pool behind the office. Really like the on-site dump.
Another nice CG with a spring is just north of Orlando, Blue Springs.

Blue Spring, there is only one spring, was Orange Cities chief building inspector, bottle washer, boot licker, etc. for three years, haven't camped there hard to get a space due to all the manatee watchers. Need to find a few nights here and there to work the bugs out of the system. Was surprised at 30.4 towing MPG but we were doing the speed limit of 55.
