Both batteries are about 8 years old and seemed to be holding a charge, but now with hot weather they have decided they don't want to play any more.

Problem is, they totally died with the unit...

Hadn’t noticed this before, but when fully up, there is a gap behind the refrigerator cabinet.

Bingo! Looked at the converter fuse in the fuse...

Bingo! Looked at the converter fuse in the fuse box, and it looked ok as did the others.

So i put a meter on that fuse, and sure enough, open circuit. New fuse and all is well.
