The tubing was bent down and in contact with the oven top. The oven top had small raised flat nipples (1/4" round) the tubing contacted.:confused:

Interesting, I have the same stove/oven in my 2005 and when I checked it yesterday it did not have any corrosion, but I will continue to check it periodically.
