I have yet to do ANY of that, and that could be slowing the lift down substantially.

My '94 Funlite seems to "purge" itself of some valuable (and messy!) ATF fluid if I don't let it down in short, well-paused bursts. It appears to be leaking from the top of the hydraulic pump...
