The handle is towards the inside and there are only the heads of two small brass screws between the slider and the main window. Used a cutting tool for plexiglass, see Shop PLASKOLITE Plastic...

The plexiglass slider looks great! I had to shave off some material from the top and bottom edges with a pocket knife to make it fit into the grooves. I made a little handle from a piece of deer bone...

sliding window fix

I want to replace the cracked thin brown sliding window in the upper part of the entry door (see picture) and am looking for ideas about what material might be best. It should be stiff but bendable...
