Where the crack is on mine the fiber glass is not...

Where the crack is on mine the fiber glass is not stable if you push on it it moves so calk won't stay where it needs to be

Is it recommended to remove the cap and repair crack from the inside? Then I guess you calk on the outside which doesn't look so good. I looked in the library for comments sounds like most just...
