I would peel the tape up is you are gonna do a full roof coating. It should come up with a heat gun.

On my 2407T I hit all my roof seems with eternabond tape and then used the Dicor self leveling sealent around that to seal the edges. They (Dicor) recommended that so you don't get a black film...
